Sony WX-50 White Background Test Using Photoshop Elements and a Desktop Eyedropper

Getting a white background pure white 255, 255, 255 is not as easy as you think.  See this tutorial: http://pinterest.com/pin/189503096793332644/.  You can see my last two posts of me testing this and how the background looks grayish.  Amazon wants pure white 255, 255, 255, so to verify that, I downloaded a free desktop eye dropper tool: http://www.iconico.com/download.aspx?app=ColorPic.  I pulled my first image from my original post into Photoshop Elements 11 which is about a $100 program.  Although it can be challenging to use, it was easy for this image.  I made the changes and then hovered the eye dropper over the background to be sure I got 255, 255, 255 pure white.  Now Amazon should be happy and I have created a solution with camera, lights, software and background for under $400.
